When you walk in the doors of Heartland, we want you to feel like you’ve come home to family. Friendly faces will greet you at the door and help direct you to the nursery or children’s areas if needed. We invite you to pick up some coffee and a donut to enjoy before the service.

Care Group Leaders & Hosts Needed
If you have been thinking about leading or hosting a care group - now is a great time! Heartland Church will run a special series for care groups called "Salt & Light" during September - November. We need more host homes and group facilitators to handle all the new people who will start attending groups. Training will be provided. Why do you believe what you believe? Discover the origins of Christian beliefs through a special four-session group led by Lyle Murphy at Heartland Church. This “Why do you believe what you believe?” group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the following Sundays: Aug. 17, Aug. 24, Sept. 7 and Sept. 14. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from this very knowledgeable and experienced Bible scholar and author. You'll be glad you came!
Donate your inactive cell phones to benefit Heartland in its outreach ministries. Just bring the cell phones with their batteries to church and put them in the collection box in “The Link” hallway by August 30, 2008.
Heartland Church will again have a booth at the Blue Springs Fall Fun Fest, Friday through Sunday, September 12-14. Volunteers are needed for this awesome outreach opportunity, to help with our booth (set-up and tear-down), face-painting, tattoos, handing out balloons and church info, sharing and caring! We'll show you what to do. Many of us have done this, and we had a great time!
We need many volunteers to help with our 1st annual Heartland Church Car/ Truck/ Motorcycle Show on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In case of rain, the event will take place on Saturday, October 4. Proceeds from this event will benefit Heartland's Youth and Children's Ministries.
