Kids Team - Worker Call

The Kids Team ministry needs help with workers -- from check-in people to teaching, they would really appreciate those who would like to serve this ministry.  If you are interested in serving contact Jason Barnett at jabarnett709@sbcglobal.net or see the Kids Team area on Sunday to volunteer in person.

Kids Team Recruitment needs

Manager: A manager is in charge of a teaching team that works two weeks a month at least. The managers work with coaches in creating a fun and safe environment where a child’s Christian walk starts. They adapt a lesson plan that is provided by an online curriculum and orders supplies through the Umps for the appropriate age groups (Preschool or K-5th). They lead the large group portion of the classes on Sunday morning and oversee the overall lesson.

Coach: The coaches assist the managers in teaching and leading the small group portions or different parts of the lesson provided in the online curriculum. They work with the manager in parts of the planning and can possibly fill in when the manager is unable to be at the service.

Check-in Managers and Coaches: The check-in team is the first faces that children and parents see when they begin the Kids Team experience. The Check-in team has three different positions. The first is the actual check-in person, they use a computer check in system and print off name tags for the student and a parent (redemption) tag. These are used so that the kids are easily identified during class and the parent tag is matched to the child when they are being picked up after service. The second position is the Kids team greeter. This person would be in “The Link” between the old and new parts of the building or near its entrance to greet families and to help them with directions, questions, or even give them a tour of the Kids Team area. The third position is a runner that would also act as a security position. This person would take kids to class before services and then stand in the hallway and make sure that there are no issues with unrecognized or unnecessary people in the children’s area. This person would also assist if children need to be in the hallway (i.e. getting drinks, using restroom etc. or if a parent needs to be brought out of a service for any reason. We want the safety of the children of our church to be a top priority and the check-in team is paramount in completing that goal.

Luke 18:15-17 (New International Version)

People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
